How It Works

Booking a Course

The website and booking system has been designed to make it as easy as possible for students and purchasers.

Payments

Credit cards
  • You may pay online by credit or debit card. Immediate payment provides immediate access.
  • You may pay later by BACS. Once payment is received, the codes become available.
  • Either way you will receive an invoice, as either an individual or as a business.
  • If you have a credit agreement with us we will issue access codes as soon as we receive your booking.

Individual Booking

If you are making a booking for yourself only;

  • Select your course on the Home Page.
  • Register as 'a private student who will pay for your own course' and complete the details.
  • Enter your full name as you wish it to appear on your certificate.
  • Choose a login name and password.
  • On registration, you will receive an e-mail confirming your login name and password.
  • Choose your method of payment. You can pay immediately online by credit or debit card, or you can choose to pay by BACS.
  • If you pay immediately online you will receive confirmation of payment by email from Sage Pay (the secure payment gateway) and the system will take you directly to your own home page where you can 'Begin Training'. (See 'Taking the Course' below).
  • If you choose to pay by BACS, you cannot begin training until your payment is cleared. You will receive confirmation from us by e-mail as soon as we receive your payment.

You can then login at Student/Sponsor LOGIN on the site home page and 'begin training' (See 'Taking the Course' below).

Sponsor Booking

If you are making a booking on behalf of others, i.e. you are an administrator, or representative of an organisation wishing to book one or more students,

  • Select the course on the Home Page.
  • Register as 'someone who will be booking courses on behalf of others' and complete the details requested. As soon as you register you will receive an email confirming your login name and password.
  • Choose 'Purchase Codes' and enter the number of courses you wish to buy and the method of payment. We do not need details of the students at this stage.
  • You can pay immediately by credit or debit card, or you can choose to pay by BACS.
  • If you pay by credit or debit card you will receive confirmation of payment from Sage Pay (the secure payment gateway) and you will be able to enter students' names immediately.

If you choose to pay by BACS, the system will allow you to enter students' names only when payment has been received. You will receive confirmation from us by e-mail as soon as we receive your payment. You will also receive your payment confirmation immediately if you are a listed credit customer of CD Media Training Ltd.

To allocate the codes purchased;

  • Click 'Student Administration' and then 'Sponsor a Student' and enter student names.
  • For each name and email address entered, we will send a Student Access Code. The student will need this code when logging in for the first time.
  • You can allocate as many students at a time as you wish up to the total number of courses you have purchased. The system keeps a tally of the number of purchased courses allocated to students so you will always know how many remain available to allocate.

In your admin area you can

  • allocate GSAT access codes to students
  • monitor the progress of the students you have entered,
  • see how many courses are still available for allocation
  • buy further courses when required.

If, as a sponsor, you are also going to be a student, just allocate yourself as you would another student but when you register as a student use a different login name and password, not the one you use as a sponsor.

Taking the Course - Sponsored Student

If you are a sponsored student (i.e. you have been nominated for the course by someone else) you will receive a notification containing your Student Access Code.

  • Select the course on the Home Page for which you have been sponsored.
  • Register. Click 'Register as a Sponsored Student'. This will take you to the Student Registration page.
  • Enter (cut & paste) your Student Access Code and click 'Continue'
  • Complete your details. You must enter your full name as it will appear on your certificate, and create a login name and password.
  • On registration, you will receive an e-mail confirming your login name and password.

You are then taken directly to your own 'home page' where you will find a menu and your details.

  • From the menu choose 'Begin Training'.
  • View each video module at your own pace and try the practice questions after each one.
  • Refer to the Glossary help page.
  • When you are ready, select the 'Final Exam' which you will have to complete and pass to print out your certificate. (You have two chances to take and pass the exam)
  • You can stop any module at any time, and can repeat any module as often as you like
  • You may leave the course at any time by logging out, and you can return at any time by logging in again with the login name and password you have chosen, resuming from where you left off or starting again from the beginning.

All questions are randomly selected by the system from a multi choice question bank.

If you do not pass the exam first time you may retake it one more time only, so please take the time to go through the modules again as often as you need.

Taking the Course - Personal Student

If you have booked and paid for yourself online, you are taken directly to your own 'home page' where you will find a menu and your details.

  • From the menu choose 'Begin Training'.
  • View each video module at your own pace and try the practice questions after each one.
  • Refer to the Glossary help page.
  • When you are ready, select the 'Final Exam' which you will have to complete and pass to print out your certificate. (You have two chances to take and pass the exam)
  • You can stop any module at any time, and can repeat any module as often as you like
  • You may leave the course at any time by logging out, and you can return at any time by logging in again with the login name and password you have chosen, resuming from where you left off or starting again from the beginning.
